Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

An investigation and projecting of a crematorium at Norra Begravningsplatsen, Stockholm. I've worked specially with the programe, trying to analyze the buildings functions. Later on I have chosen certain concepts I've found intresting and have tried to build my design through them.

A crematorium which waits.  Is it possible to form a creamtorium which allows waiting but also reveals its inner industrial and technical processes? Investigate its cycles and events by formulate its tempo generated by work and paus, acceleration and slowness. Create a building formed by its pace and process, interlaced by function and energy, waiting and processing, memories and farewells.

A building which... pauses & functions... in time, over time.

The circulations consisting of the coffin, the worker, and the visitor, need to function in a parallell way, need to be joined, processed, used and stored, and in the end bring the final leftovers.

In waiting for a farewell, where tempo and its traces becomes the structure.
