Abstract [sv]

Detta kandidatarbete avser behandla en hopfällbar krycka. Kryckan har tagits fram för att användaren enkelt och tidseffektivt ska kunna minska kryckans totala längd, så den till exempel kan få plats i en handväska eller en ryggsäck. Ett antal olika idéer utvärderades där slutresultatet blev att kombinera en teleskopvariant med fällbara delar. De fällbara delarna var fästa i varandra med metallfjädrar och en nylonlina, som tillsammans höll kryckans delar på plats vid utfällt tillstånd. Fälldes de vikbara delarna lade de sig bredvid varandra. Kryckans vikfunktion hade också som syfte att brukaren kunde behålla den med teleskopfunktionen förinställda personliga längden, trots att denne fällde ihop kryckan. Vidare utvecklades ett fällbart handtag, som vid infällt läge lade sig kring kryckröret. Maximala längden på kryckan var 1180 mm och vid fullt hopfällt tillstånd 390 mm. Kryckan var dimensionerad för en brukarvikt på 150 kg. Totalvikten på kryckan uppgick till 900 g och materialen som användes var aluminium i själva kryckröret, stål i röret som gick upp till underarmsstödet och det fällbara handtaget. Underarmsstödet bestod av plast. Underlag för tillverkning har tagits fram med hjälp av CAD- programmet Solid Edge. Hållfasthetsberäkningar och dimensioneringar för kryckans olika delar gjordes med hjälp av programmet Matlab.

Abstract [en]

This Bachelor of Science is a study that involves a foldable crutch. The crutch is intended to be a simple and time effective way for users to be able to reduce total length of the crutch to fit in a bag similar to a bigger purse or backpack. Several ideas have been evaluated where the finished result ended up to be a combination between a telescopic and a foldable crutch. The foldable parts were attached in each other with two extension springs and a thread of nylon. When folded together the three foldable pieces laid next to each other. The foldable parts had the benefit of maintaining the user adjusted length settings, set by the telescopic function, even though the crutch has been in a folded state. Furthermore a foldable handle were developed, which were put along the top pipe. The maximum length for the crutch was 1180 mm and 390 mm at fully foldable state. The crutch was constructed to withstand a user weight of 150 kg. The total weight of the crutch was 900 g and the materials that were used were aluminum for the pipes, steel in the upper pipe where the arm support were located and the foldable handle. The arm support was chosen to be made of plastic. The basis for a production was made with help from the CAD- program Solid Edge. Solid mechanics and the dimensions for the different parts of the crutch were determined with help from the program Matlab.
