Abstract [sv]

Rapporten redovisar arbetets gången för utvecklandet av axelskyddet Knight som genom sin utformning syftar att skapa en fjädrande dämpning av tacklingar inom lagsporten ishockey. Rapporten innehåller en omfattande koncept genererings fas, en analys av dominant design av dagens axel skydd men även mekanisk analys, anatomisk analys och diskussion om bland annat tillverkningsmetoder och ekonomi. Axelskydden har formgivits av författaren och presenteras på sida 10.

Abstract [en]

This report intends to account for the process of developing and designing the shoulder pads Knight. Knights peculiar design allows it to dampen incoming tackles and reduce the amount off stress applied to the shoulder area. The report includes a rather extensive concept development phase but also includes a mechanical analysis, anatomical analysis and a discussion about production and economy. The shoulder pads were designed by the author and is presented on page 10.
