Utveckling av en real-tids webb-baserad mediaspelare (Swedish)
Abstract [en]

In this thesis we develop and implement a media player consuming media from a server which composits and transcodes in realtime. The merits of this approach are examined. This report describes the degree project in Computer Engineering that was undertaken for Vizrt, in which a web based media player was developed and integrated into an existing MAM system. The player was developed using Java cross-compiled into JavaScript using the Google Web Toolkit. It can play media clips from the media asset manager, skip to arbitrary parts and play media both forwards and backwards.

I den här tesen utvecklar vi en mediaspelare som konsumerar sin media från en server som kan transkoda och sammankoppla olika mediasekvenser i realtid. Fördelarna med denna method undersöks. Rapporten beskriver examensarbetet för Datateknik inriktning Programutveckling som utfördes för Vizrt, där en webbbaserad mediaspelare utvecklades och sammankopplades med ett existerande system för mediahantering, för att unders öka lämpligheten att låta en server transcoda och strömma media i realtid. Spelaren utvecklades med Java som översattes till JavaScript, med hjälp av Google Web Toolkit. Applikationen kan spela upp mediaklipp från mediahanteringssystemet, gå till godtyckliga delar av klippet, samt spela upp media både framlänges och baklänges.
