Abstract [en]

This is a brief summary of the chapters in a multi-author book devoted to philosophical investigations of the role of technology in science. Some of the major themes treated in the book are: the role of technological devices, procedures and ways of thinking in science, how computer technology shapes modern science, goal rationality in science and technology, and the relations between technology and nature.
