Abstract [en]

The establishment of the animal welfare police in Stockholm in 2011, has led to an increased number of cared for animals. Which has begin to lead to a lack of facilities that receive animals. It will require larger facilities.  New facilities has to be built in the future to fill the needs.

The project aims to find a place for the project and provide design for the animals within the Stockholm area.

What is the most suitable place for this project? How can the building be affordable without compromising design and function? How to improve the shelter environment and its physical and psychological effects on dogs and cats? and its surroundings?
