Parametric tools in house construction (English)
Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

This study explores how parametric design tools can enhance collaboration between architects and engineers while streamlining the construction process. Through literature review, a case study and a practical application on a geodesic dome, the research examines benefits, limitations, and scalability to larger projects. Findings show that parametric design simplifies the handling of complex geometries, reduces the risk of errors, and enables early clash detection. The technology improves decision-making, increases production efficiency, and can reduce on-site labour requirements. However, successful implementation requires awareness of model complexity and adaptation to material characteristics.
