Sveriges tekniklärare förväntas undervisa i ett brett ämne. En förstudie på KTH visar atttekniklärarstudenterna på KTH-programmet Civilingenjör och lärare behöver komplettera sinaämneskunskaper med ritteknik, materiallära, konstruktion och entreprenörskap. I dettaexamensarbete tas därmed en universitetskurs på 7,5 hp fram till programmet för att kompletterastudenternas ämneskunskaper i teknik och stärka lärarstudenternas upplevda kompetens somtekniklärare. Empirin utgjordes av texter från Skolverket, Gleerups läromedel i teknik ochintervjuer med yrkesverksamma tekniklärare. En tematisk analys av datan utgjorde grund för attavgöra vad tekniklärarstudenterna bör få lära sig inom ritteknik, materiallära, konstruktion ochentreprenörskap. Därefter utformades kursens lärandemål utifrån lärdomar från den tematiskaanalysen och kursens syftesformulering. Kursframtagningen skedde med konstruktiv länkning avlärandemål, läraktiviteter och examination. Det slutliga kursupplägget inkluderar moduler,schemalagda aktiviteter och examination av kursens lärandemål. Studenterna får i kursen Teknikför tekniklärare ny kunskap inom teknik och tillfälle att applicera ämnesdidaktik. Teknik förtekniklärare främjar studenternas utbildning till tekniskt kunniga lärare och allmänbildadeingenjörer.

Abstract [en]

Sweden’s technology teachers are expected to teach a broad subject. A preliminary study at KTH shows that the technology teacher students in the program Engineering and Teaching need tocomplement their subject knowledge with drafting, materials science, construction, andentrepreneurship. In this thesis, a university course worth 7.5 credits is therefore developed tocomplement the students’ subject knowledge in technology and to strengthen the studentteachers’ perceived competence as technology teachers. The data consisted of texts from the Swedish National Agency for Education, Gleerup’s textbook in technology, and interviews withworking technology teachers. A thematic analysis of the data formed the basis for determiningwhat the technology teacher students should learn in drafting, materials science, construction,and entrepreneurship. Subsequently, the course’s learning objectives were formulated based onthe conclusions from the thematic analysis and the course’s stated purpose. The coursedevelopment was carried out using constructive alignment of learning objectives, assessment, andlearning activities. The final course design includes modules, scheduled activities, and assessmentof the course’s learning objectives. The course Technology for Technology Teachers provides studentswith new knowledge in technology and the opportunity to apply didactics for technology. Thecourse Technology for Technology Teachers makes teachers competent in technology.
