Bollsy : A machine that shoots tennis balls (English)
Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

Tennis is today one of the largest sports in the world, but at the same time, a sport that is difficult to practice alone. In this project, a prototype was developed which explores the possibility for a tennis player to train alone against an automated machine. To make the machine behave as realistically as possible, the design focuses on two core functions. The first is that the construction should be able to turn horizontally, and the second is to deliver balls within a given time interval. For this, different types of motors and methods were used. In order to determine if the prototype is a suitable construction, the experiments focused on accuracy. Two different types of experiments were carried out: one with straight shots and the other after a horizontal rotation.
