Projektet transformerar en privatägd kontors- och industrifastighet från 1992 till ett publikt center för natur och konsthantverk. Programmet svarar på en uttalad efterfrågan om en närmare anknytning till naturmiljö i området samt erbjuder en lösning på en del socioekonomiska skillnader och problem som för närvarande finns i Kungens kurva med omnejd. Syftet med det föreslagna programmet är att introducera, folkbilda och inspirera kreativitet med naturmiljön som genomgående tema. Den befintliga byggnaden omformas till två sammankopplade flyglar som separeras av ett arboretum i byggnadens sydvästra hörn. Detta utgör projektets mest framträdande transformationsingrepp. Ett underordnat syfte med projektet var att undersöka fenomenet transformation i form av att ersätta delar av byggnaden med en (konstruerad) naturmiljö, som dock fortfarande är inkluderad i det uppfattade ramverket för arkitekturen och därmed inte kan reduceras till omgivning.  

The project transforms an existing and privately owned office and industrial building from 1992 into a public centre for nature and crafts. The program meets a pronounced demand for a closer connection to the natural environment in the area and offers a solution for some socioeconomic issues of the present day Kungens kurva. The purpose of the proposed program is to introduce, inform and inspire creativity with nature as a consistent theme. The existing building is reshaped into two interconnected wings, separated by a corner arboretum, which constitutes the most prominent feature of the transformation. A sub purpose of the project is to investigate the phenomenon of transforming a building by replacing parts of it with (constructed) nature while still included in the perceived framework of the architecture, and not being reduced to 'surrounding'.
