This degree project has been carried out at a rural power distribution utility where the Top Management of the company aimed to implement Quality Management System (QMS) as per ISO 9001:2015 Standard. The project included consultancy services to implement QMS and get ISO 9001:2015 Certified from a third-party certification body. In order to implement QMS, the organization had to undergo training and develop documentation to comply with the requirements of the Standard. The primary aim of implementing QMS include:

·       Increasing efficiency and effectiveness

·       Improve work procedures

·       Increase quality awareness among staff

·       Help Top Management make better decisions

·       Improve customer relationship

·       Improve supplier relationships

The aim of this degree project has been to establish, document and introduce a quality management system compliant to ISO 9001:2015. In order to implement QMS, the existing management system was studied to identify the gaps between the requirements of the Standard and the organization’s management system. After the gaps were identified, appropriate consultancy services were provided to help the organization achieve ISO 9001:2015 certification status.

Detta examensarbete utfördes vid ett eldistributionsföretag i bengaliska landsbygden där företagets högsta ledning önskade till att tillämpa Kvalitetsledningssystem (QMS) enligt ISO 9001:2015 Standarden. Projektet genomfördes i form av konsulttjänster för att implementera kvalitetsledningsystem och få ISO 9001:2015 certifierad från ett tredjepartscertifieringsorgan. Detta i sin tur ledde till att organisationen genomgick utbildningar och utvecklade dokumentation för att uppfylla kraven i standarden. Det primära syftet med att tillämpa kvalitetslednignssystem handlar om:

·       Öka verkningsgrad och effektivitet

·       Förbättra arbetsrutiner

·       Öka kvalitetsmedvetenheten hos personalen

·       Underlätta för den högsta ledningen att fatta bättre beslut

·       Förbättra kundrelationer

·       Förbättra leverantörsrelationer

Syftet med detta examensarbete har varit att etablera, dokumentera och införa ett kvalitetsledningssystem i enlighet med ISO 9001:2015. För att tillämpa QMS studerades det befintliga ledningssystemet för att identifiera gap mellan kraven i standarden och organisationens ledningssystem. Efter att dessa gap identifierats tillhandahölls lämpliga konsulttjänster för att  organisationen skulle uppnå ISO 9001:2015-certifiering.
