Abstract [en]

Throughout history the architecture of our homes have repeatedly been adapted, not only to new and changing ways of life but also by proposing new lifestyles for us. Making us more clean, efficient and better consumers, but at the same time binding us to the home and leaving us with many hours of cleaning, cooking,  refurbishing and styling. Today the home is established in a quite fixed manner with clear functions assigned to each space and with specific roles according to each room. The idea of the home as something static is changing with new lifestyles, where some have the privilege to chose a life in motion and others are forced into it by precarious work and home conditions. In a time when we are both workers and houseworkers and where leisure, work and distraction has merged into one, where we work from bed and socialize online, what is the task of domestic space is today? This is an investigation into the potential of the domestic space and the everyday life when moving from an individualistic lifestyle towards a collaborative one.
