Abstract [en]

Work preparation is a form of method that involves analyzing individual work elements in a construction project. The goal with work preparation is to achieve the predetermined requirements in terms of quality, time constraints, working environment and finances.

This report describes how work preparation is carried out in theory and how the construction management company goes about preparing its works. The report also describes the risks that occur during the work and how work preparation can be a tool on how to prevent these risks and make production more efficient. Through a literature study and an interview with a construction management supervisor, we were able to complete this thesis.

The results suggest that in order to achieve greater efficiency in production, more tasks may require written work preparation to reduce misunderstandings and clarify instructions for the skilled workers. As a whole, construction management implements their preparation as the tool is described within the theory.
