Abstract [en]

In this study augmented reality (AR), advantages and challenges are investigated for home improvement & device repair. The study explore literature review, field visits and prototype testing to explore just how AR technology can enhance repair processes and problem solving capabilities. While examining various AR tools like TeamViewer Pilot and Vuforia Chalk, the study discusses wider AR adoption implications for home maintenance. Usability testing and iterativ design are stressed all through the study to deal with user issues and increase the effectiveness of AR applications. Ethical issues including participant consent and privacy protection are also discussed concerning data collection and user testing techniques. This study sheds light on AR technology potentials and limits for home repair and opens new frontiers for development and research. The goal objective is creating simple to use and impactful AR applications for home improvement by users.
